Rent vs Owning

As some of you may know James and I have begun the house hunt, we cant WAIT to get out of these trashy apartments that we move into every couple of years, we are SO SO excited to get into our own place, there are upsides to renting such as the land lord is responsible for everything for example i have a fridge full of food for all of my guests this weekend........fridge breaks.......he comes to fix it, yet i have to wait hours when if i owned i could go out and buy a refrigerator and be done, another point id like to make is playing outside, Haydn and I love playing outside, the up side you ask?? Well we have awesome neighbors, Haydn has made a little friend, Matthew the cutest 3 yr old ever, any how up side you dont have to mow the lawn, down side......the kids play in a field of grass almost taller that Haydn because the lawn doesnt get mowed!!! Now dont get me wrong we have a pretty awesome landlord but these few problems we have kinda make it frustrating,
